This page walks through every tab of MailerPress > Settings: what each setting does and where to learn more. Use it to find a setting quickly or to review your configuration. Some tabs require MailerPress Pro: without it, they show a short presentation of the feature instead of the settings.
Only users allowed to manage MailerPress settings can open this page (administrators by default). To give this access to other roles, see MailerPress capabilities.

General
The General tab (titled Global settings) has two buttons at the top: Restart Setup Wizard reopens the setup wizard, and Save settings saves your changes.
| Section | What it does |
|---|---|
| Email senders | Your sender identities: From name, From email, Reply-to email and Reply-to name. Click Add sender to save several identities, and Set as default sender on the one to use by default. Reply-to addresses apply when sending with PHP Mail or Custom SMTP. See Customize the default sender name and email address. |
| Default test email recipients | Addresses pre-filled when you send a test email, for example your client or your team. Type an address and press Enter to add it. |
| Social profiles | Your social network URLs. New Social blocks in the email editor use them automatically, and you can still change them in each email. Use Add social profile, and the arrows to set the order. |
| Manage Subscription page | The page where contacts manage their subscription. Keep Use the default page, or choose your own page: it must contain the [mailerpress_pages] shortcode. Disable list management hides the lists on that page, so the subscriber is unsubscribed directly. See Manage MailerPress Subscription and Unsubscribe Pages. |
| Unsubscribe page | The page shown after unsubscribing. Keep Use the default page or choose your own page. |
| Sending | Send delay: a countdown after you click Send, during which you can still click Cancel. Options: Disabled (send immediately), 3 seconds, 5 seconds (default), 10 seconds. |
| Data Management | Remove all data on plugin deletion: when enabled, deleting the plugin permanently erases all contacts, campaigns, settings and MailerPress database tables. You must confirm this option. See How to completely uninstall MailerPress. |
Next to the subscription pages, a Design pages button opens the MailerPress Pages tab (MailerPress Pro). Without MailerPress Pro, this button is labeled Design with Pro.
Spam Protection
- Enable Honeypot Protection: adds an invisible field to your forms. Bots that fill it in are silently rejected.
- Enable Rate Limiting: limits how many times the same IP address (the same connection) can submit a form, with Maximum Requests (default 5) and Time Window (seconds) (default 60).
See Security & Spam Protection.
Sign-up Confirmation
- Enable sign-up confirmation: new subscribers receive an email with a confirmation link, and only get your newsletters once they click it (double opt-in).
- Email subject and Email content: the confirmation email. You can use variables such as
[contact:firstName]. The text between[activation_link]...[/activation_link]becomes the confirmation link. - Use designed email template: sends the confirmation in a template you design in the email editor, instead of plain text.
- Redirect after confirmation: a page or URL shown after confirming. Leave empty for the default confirmation page.
- Enable automatic reminders and Send reminder after: sends one reminder to contacts who have not confirmed yet, after the number of days you set.
See Enable sign-up confirmation (double opt-in).
Sending frequency
MailerPress sends campaigns in batches (or chunks), small groups of emails sent one after the other, to respect your sending serviceโs limits. This tab shows your active email service provider and its current configuration (batch size, emails per hour and per day, rate limit). Choose a mode:
- Automatic (recommended): adapted to your provider.
- Profile: a preset for your provider or plan.
- Manual (advanced users): Emails per chunk, Interval between chunks and Rate limit (emails per second).
Delivery Time Estimates show how long a send to 1,000, 10,000 and 50,000 contacts takes. See How to Change Your Sending Frequency in MailerPress.
Embed Forms (MailerPress Pro)
Displays MailerPress subscription forms on other websites. This tab manages the API keys for these forms and generates the embed code (a snippet you paste into the other site).
WordPress Emails (MailerPress Pro)
Redesigns the emails WordPress sends itself (registration, password reset, admin notificationsโฆ) with the MailerPress editor. See Customize WordPress and WooCommerce emails with MailerPress Pro.
AI Settings (MailerPress Pro)
Connects the AI providers used to generate text and images in the email editor and automations. See Use AI to Generate Automations and Create a Nano Banana API key to generate AI images.
API Keys
An API key is a password that lets an external app or service connect to MailerPress (through the MailerPress REST API).
- Click Create New Key.
- Set a name and, optionally, permissions (empty means full access), a rate limit, allowed IP addresses and an expiration.
- Copy the key and its secret right away: they are shown only once.
You can revoke, reactivate or delete existing keys. See MailerPress public REST API.
White Label (MailerPress Pro)
Replaces the MailerPress branding with your own (plugin names, admin menu title, icon, email footerโฆ). This tab is hidden when the MAILERPRESS_WHITE_LABEL_ACTIVE constant is set to false. See Enable the White Label feature.
MailerPress Pages (MailerPress Pro)
Styles the subscription and unsubscribe pages displayed by the [mailerpress_pages] shortcode: ready-made presets, live editor, fullscreen mode and logo. See Design the Manage Subscription and Unsubscribed Pages in MailerPress.
Licence (MailerPress Pro)
Activates or deactivates your MailerPress Pro license key, which you need to receive updates. The MailerPress > License menu opens this tab directly. See Activate your MailerPress Pro license.
