Send the people who fill in a Contact Form 7 form straight to a MailerPress list. The integration adds a MailerPress tab to the Contact Form 7 form editor, where you pick the list and tag and match the form fields.
This integration works with MailerPress (free) and Contact Form 7. Mapping MailerPress custom fields requires MailerPress Pro.
Configure the MailerPress tab
- Go to Contact > Contact Forms and edit a form.
- Open the MailerPress tab.
- In Subscriber First Name:, Subscriber Last Name: and Subscriber Email:, enter the mail tags of your form fields (the names in square brackets, for example
[your-name]and[your-email]). The email is required. - In Contact List, select a MailerPress list. A list is required.
- Optionally, select a Contact Tag (a label that helps you sort contacts later).
- With MailerPress Pro, fill in Custom field mappings: next to each MailerPress custom field, enter the matching form tag, for example
[your-company]. Leave a box empty to skip that field. - Check Enable Double Opt-in if needed (see below).
- Click Save.
If the email field or the list is missing, the tab shows “You must map a subscriber email field.” or “You must select a MailerPress list.”, and no contact is sent to MailerPress.
Double opt-in
Double opt-in means the new contact must click a link in a confirmation email before being subscribed.
- Enable Double Opt-in checked: the contact gets the Pending status and receives the confirmation email.
- Not checked: MailerPress follows MailerPress > Settings > Sign-up Confirmation. If sign-up confirmation is enabled there, the contact is pending and gets a confirmation email. Otherwise, the contact is subscribed directly.

Spam protection
When Enable Honeypot Protection is on in MailerPress > Settings > Spam Protection, MailerPress adds a hidden field (a “honeypot”) to your Contact Form 7 forms. Humans don’t see it, but bots fill it in, and those submissions are not sent to MailerPress. See Security & Spam Protection.
Check the result
Each time a visitor submits the form, the contact is added to the selected list with the tag and mapped fields. In MailerPress > Audience > Contacts, these contacts show Contact form 7 as their opt-in source.
