More about SendGrid

SendGrid for your WordPress newsletter

Send your WordPress newsletter through the SendGrid v3 Mail Send API, from your domain authenticated in SendGrid instead of your web server.

  • Everything sent through SendGrid: campaigns, automation emails, sign-up confirmations and test emails.
  • Limited API key: it only needs Mail Send access.
  • Stats in MailerPress: opens and clicks are tracked by MailerPress, not read from SendGrid.

Requires MailerPress Pro.

Thousands of emails an hour

MailerPress Pro offers three SendGrid profiles, so your sending pace matches your SendGrid plan.

  • Balanced (Recommended): 75 emails every 5 minutes, about 900 an hour.
  • Performance: 200 emails every 3 minutes, up to 4,000 an hour.
  • Example: a 20,000-contact newsletter goes out in about 5 hours on Performance.
  • High Performance (Premier plans): 3,600 emails an hour.
  • Where to set it: MailerPress > Settings > Sending frequency.

Requires MailerPress Pro.

Signed bounce notifications

Bounced, blocked and dropped addresses get the Bounced status and drop out of your next campaigns.

  • In MailerPress: turn on Enable bounce tracking.
  • In SendGrid: add the MailerPress URL to an Event Webhook with the Bounced and Dropped events.
  • Signature verification: turn it on in SendGrid, then save the verification key in MailerPress.
  • Unsigned notifications: rejected once the verification key is saved.

Requires MailerPress Pro.

Bring your SendGrid contacts with you

If your list lives in SendGrid Marketing Campaigns, the Migration Center brings it into MailerPress.

  • Lists: your SendGrid lists are imported.
  • Custom fields: your SendGrid custom fields come along.
  • Contacts: imported into MailerPress.
  • Slower start: SendGrid first prepares a contact export, so that step takes a little longer.

Requires MailerPress Pro. Go to MailerPress > Tools > Migrations. Migrate your contacts to MailerPress

Set it up

Connect SendGrid to MailerPress with a Mail Send API key and an authenticated domain or verified sender.

  • Authenticated domain: set up in your SendGrid account.
  • Or a single sender: a verified single sender also works.
  • API key: with Mail Send access.

Requires MailerPress Pro. Send your campaigns with SendGrid in MailerPress
