From a side project to a WordPress-native email platform
MailerPress started with one frustration: every WordPress site had to leave WordPress to send a newsletter. Here is how it became a product, one release at a time.

Spring 2025
An idea leaves the drawer
Aurélien Denis has built WordPress sites since 2007 and spent years sending clients to external email platforms, each with its own login, invoice and export button. With two co-founders he starts an editor that borrows the block editor’s interface and runs on an engine written for email. In April, Post Status and The WP Weekly relay the first beta sign-ups.

Public beta on WordPress.org
Version 0.2 lands in the official plugin directory. Testers around the world put the editor, the sending services and the WooCommerce integration through their paces, and their feedback sets the priorities of the next three months.

MailerPress 1.0 and MailerPress Pro
MailerPress leaves beta: a free plugin with no contact limit, and a Pro edition with AI writing and translation, premium templates, segmentation, integrations and priority support — licensed per site, never per subscriber.

December 2025 – February 2026
A release every few weeks
Versions 1.1 to 1.5 bring a refined dashboard, custom fields, native form builders, Fluent Forms and embeddable forms, Amazon SES, spam protection, public campaign archives and webhooks.

MailerPress 2.0
A visual automation builder, full control over the emails WordPress and WooCommerce send on your behalf, three new native sending services, a raw HTML editor and granular API keys. The newsletter plugin becomes a complete email platform.

Aurélien Denis
CEO & co-founder
Aurélien has built WordPress sites since 2007 and founded WP channel in 2009, one of the French-speaking web’s longest-running WordPress resources, with more than 500 technical articles to its name. President of WordPress Francophone in 2016–2017 and co-organiser of WordCamp Bordeaux and WordCamp Biarritz, he leads MailerPress’s product and company.

If you know WordPress, you already know MailerPress. The editor borrows the block editor’s interface, every admin screen follows WordPress conventions, and nothing sends you to a third-party dashboard.
Your data stays yours
Contacts, campaigns and statistics live in your own database, on your own server. No export to a SaaS, no vendor tracking your subscribers — and GDPR compliance that starts with where the data sits.
Fair, flat pricing
The free plugin has no contact limit. Pro is licensed per site, never per subscriber, and renews at the price you paid — no introductory discount that doubles a year later.
Humans, in two languages
Support is answered by the people who write the code, in English and in French. Beta testers shaped version 1.0, and your feedback still sets the roadmap.
