Postmark and MailerPress

More about Postmark

Postmark for your WordPress newsletter

Send your WordPress newsletter through a Postmark server, from your own domain authenticated in Postmark.

  • Everything sent through Postmark: campaigns, automation emails, sign-up confirmations and test emails.
  • Server API Token: connects MailerPress to your Postmark server.
  • Authenticated domain: DKIM and Return-Path records set up in Postmark.
  • Stats in MailerPress: opens and clicks are tracked by MailerPress, not read from Postmark.

Requires MailerPress Pro.

Newsletters kept apart from receipts

Send newsletters through a broadcast stream, so they never share a stream with the receipts and password resets your other tools send.

  • Broadcast streams: Postmark keeps them apart from transactional streams, on their own IP addresses.
  • Postmark Message Stream ID: enter a broadcast stream in MailerPress, for example broadcasts.
  • Empty field: MailerPress uses the default transactional stream.

Requires MailerPress Pro.

Sending speed for your Postmark plan

MailerPress Pro offers three Postmark profiles, from the 10k plan up to 100k+ plans.

  • Prudent (10k plan): 600 emails an hour.
  • Balanced (Recommended): 900 emails an hour.
  • Performance (100k+ plans): 2,400 emails an hour.
  • Example: a 5,000-contact newsletter takes a little over 5 hours on Balanced, about 2 on Performance.
  • Where to set it: MailerPress > Settings > Sending frequency.

Requires MailerPress Pro.

Bounces removed from your list

Every bounce Postmark reports gives the contact the Bounced status, and campaigns skip it from then on.

  • In MailerPress: turn on Enable bounce tracking.
  • In Postmark: add the MailerPress URL to the Bounce event of the stream MailerPress uses.
  • 30-day check: bounces apply only to addresses MailerPress emailed through Postmark in the last 30 days.

Requires MailerPress Pro.

Set it up

Connect a Postmark server to MailerPress with its Server API Token and a verified sender domain.

  • Postmark server: its Server API Token goes in MailerPress.
  • Sender domain: verified in Postmark.
  • Account approval: until Postmark approves your account, you can only send to your own domain.

Requires MailerPress Pro. Send your campaigns with Postmark in MailerPress
