Your WordPress newsletter, sent from your Postal server
Connect MailerPress Pro to your self-hosted Postal mail server, and your WordPress newsletter leaves from infrastructure you run.
- Open source: Postal is a mail delivery platform you host yourself.
- HTTP API: MailerPress Pro connects with the server URL and a Server API key.
- Everything sent: campaigns, automation emails, sign-up confirmations and test emails.
- Your domain: emails leave with the domain you verified in Postal.
Requires MailerPress Pro 2.1.0+. Read the Postal guide
A sending pace set for your server
You set the sending speed yourself, since the right pace depends on your Postal server.
- Manual mode: choose it in MailerPress > Settings > Sending frequency, as Postal has no preset profile.
- Chunk size: 1 to 500 emails per chunk.
- Interval: 1 to 30 minutes between chunks.
- Speed limit: a maximum number of emails per second.
- Tip: keep intervals at 3 minutes or more so your WordPress server is not overloaded.
Bounces verified without a secret to copy
Postal reports bounces, and MailerPress checks each notification with your server’s public key, with no secret to copy.
- Webhook: turn on Enable bounce tracking, then add the MailerPress URL to the same Postal server.
- Events: MessageDeliveryFailed and MessageBounced both give the contact the Bounced status.
- Signature check: uses the public key at /.well-known/jwks.json, so forged notifications are rejected.
- Requirement: that address must be reachable from your WordPress site.
Reply-to and unsubscribe headers included
Replies reach the inbox you chose, and subscribers can unsubscribe in one click from their inbox.
- Reply-to: the email and name set in MailerPress > Settings > General.
- One-click unsubscribe: List-Unsubscribe and List-Unsubscribe-Post headers on each email.
- In the inbox: compatible inboxes show an unsubscribe option next to your sender name.
Set it up
Check these points, then follow the guide to connect your Postal server.
- MailerPress Pro: version 2.1.0 or later.
