This reference lists every block of the MailerPress email editor: what it does, its main settings and where you can use it. To learn how to add, move and edit blocks, read How to use the MailerPress Editor.
All the blocks below are included in the free MailerPress plugin unless stated otherwise. The Post Meta block, Query filters on custom fields (post meta or ACF fields) and AI image generation require MailerPress Pro.
Where blocks are available
The Blocks tab of the left sidebar groups blocks into Text, Media, Design and Email. The list adapts to what you are editing:
- Everywhere: text, media and design blocks, plus Query, Social, Countdown and Subscription links.
- When WooCommerce is active: Product Showcase.
- Automation emails and WooCommerce emails: WooCommerce Order and Abandoned Cart Items.
- Automation emails only: Published Post, Coupon Code, User Profile Card, Comment Content, Subscription Details, Cart Recovery Button and Product Review.
- Inside a Query block: the post blocks (Post title, Excerpt, Featured media…).
Customizing WordPress and WooCommerce emails with the MailerPress editor requires MailerPress Pro (see Customize WordPress and WooCommerce emails).
Text blocks

Design blocks

Email blocks

Post blocks inside a Query block
When you add a Query block, choose a model (Title only, Title and excerpt, Image, title and excerpt, 2 columns with image at right, 2 columns with image at left) or Create my own template. The post template repeats for each post and can contain these blocks:

| Post date / Post modified date | The publication or last modification date, with an optional date format (the WordPress format by default). |
| Post categories | The category names of the post. |
| Excerpt | The excerpt, with a maximum number of words. |
| Featured media | The featured image, with a choice of resolution. |
| Read More | A button linking to the post. |
| Post content | The full content of the post, with separate settings for text, headings and buttons. |
| Product price | The price of a WooCommerce product. |
| Post Meta | The value of an ACF field or a custom field, as text, date or image. Requires MailerPress Pro. |

Settings shared by many blocks
- Conditional display: show different content to different contacts (MailerPress Pro). See Conditional Display.
- Personalization Tags: insert contact data or your own merge tags (placeholders replaced for each contact) in text. See Personalizing Emails with Merge Tags and Create custom merge tags.
- Default typography and colors: set them once for the whole email in the Styles tab. See Set the global styles of your emails.
